Essential Caregivers Access to Facility    |      COVID-19 & Visitation Update from The Grove

Residents share their experiences at The Grove of La Grange Park

“Your acts of kindness have touched me.”

I'm not sure I can put into words how grateful I am for you, one and all. My Estelle left me on October 1st, 2019, and I am still trying to get used to the idea.

I should have written this sooner, but I was lost - forgive me! You chose this career for a variety of reasons, I thank God you did. Your work is hard, tedious, and stressful - with little to no appreciation for your efforts. That is why I write this letter to you. Please allow me to say thank you for your kindness to my Estelle - a smile, a shared song, a walk down memory lane - each sentiment had a way of brightening my Estelle's last days. Thank you!

So to Patty, Dillan, and Lashandra, and you all, may God bless you and reward you for the kindness you showed my Estelle. Your acts of kindness have touched me, and I am a better person for it. Again, thanks. May the good Lord take a liking to you all, as I have!

Sincerely,

James P., husband of Estelle.

“A pleasant experience.”

Upon my arrival at the facility, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable with being here. Barbara helped me feel more comfortable and at ease due to my nervousness of not knowing what to expect. My first night was a little shaky and loud, I brought it up the next day to Michael, and shortly after our conversation, I was moved to my new room. The room was kept clean, the therapy met my needs and got me to where I can discharge home safely. Overall, the care at the facility was a pleasant experience and the doctor and nursing follow up were done well. I would highly recommend The Grove of La Grange Park to others.

Sincerely,

Henry H.
